My Approach:
My work is centered around creating a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship, and providing opportunities for all experiences and emotions to be explored. I incorporate a systems perspective into my approach, and utilize theories such as Child Centered Play Therapy, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I believe that bringing compassion and understanding to our relationships with ourselves and others is the way that we heal, and hope to help folx who are feeling disconnected, reconnect.
I am excited and deeply committed to my work as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern. I feel privileged to be in a position to support the well-being of children, families and adults through the process of therapy, and am dedicated to the ongoing process of learning and improving my abilities as a mental health professional. I approach this work with respect, gratitude and curiosity, and want to serve as a holistic resource for healing and growth.
About Me:
I was raised in Northern California as the oldest of two daughters. I moved to Colorado to attend the University of Denver, and have been here ever since! Outside of therapy, I love to try new recipes and restaurants, spend time with my two dogs, and travel. I am currently earning my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Regis University.
